Cheech Marin is an American actor, comedian, and writer best known as one half of the comedy duo Cheech & Chong. Along with Tommy Chong, Cheech Marin formed the duo in the late 1960s and became known for their stand-up comedy routines, which often centered around the use of marijuana, and their successful films in the 1970s and 1980s such as "Up in Smoke," "Nice Dreams," "Things Are Tough All Over" and "Still Smokin"
He has also worked as a solo actor, appearing in films such as "Born in East L.A." and "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" and on television shows such as "Nash Bridges." In addition to his acting career, Marin is also a collector of Chicano art and has curated several exhibitions of Chicano art. He is also a voice actor and has lent his voice to several films and TV shows such as Oliver & Company and Coco.
